The Hoyt Square Condominiums are one of the Northwest neighbrohood’s hidden treasures.  Located on the corner of NW 19^th Avenue and Hoyt Street, this 24 unit complex has one and two bedroom condos ranging from about 550 to 1000 square feet.  Several things make this building really special.  The first is its proximity to NW 21^st Avenue.  Only 2 blocks away from all the action, this location puts you just minutes from a great number of restaurants including McMenamin’s Blue Moon Tavern; Italian restaurant, Basta’s; and the hip duo, Bar Mango and Café Mango.  You’ll also find more lounge’s than you can shake a stick at (Bartini and Muu-Muu’s, for example) as well as a Trader Joe’s for convenient grocery shopping and Cinema 21. 

Another great feature of its location is that its right across the street from Couch Park and has quick access to I-405, that puts you in striking distance of I-5, I-84 and the Sunset Highway (I-26). 

A third great feature is the building design.  From the outside, the building itself is a little understated, but you get a big surprise when you walk into the courtyard, which is like a cross between a garden and an Escher drawing.  Each unit’s entrance is from the two-to-three story courtyard and each entrance is accessed by a series of individual staircases or above ground walk ways.  The arrangement of the courtyard and building structure is both playful and pleasing to the eye.  None of the angles or roof lines in the courtyard are simple or expected, and the overall effect is very refreshing.
